Privacy policy

What this site collects, why, for how long and with whom. Written to be understood, not to be worked around.

Who is responsible

Studio de personnalisation Les Artisans S.E.N.C., a general partnership based in Mirabel, Quebec.

Any question, any access or deletion request goes to the person responsible for the protection of personal information, at confidentialite@studiolesartisans.ca.

What we collect

Only what you write to us. No accounts, no sign-up, no online store.

The general form: name, email, phone if you give it, message.

The quote form adds the client type, the company if applicable, the product type, the quantity, the deadline and budget if you provide them, the project description, and one optional file, image or PDF, up to 4 MB.

The page you write from is included in the message, to situate the context.

What we do with it

Answer you, prepare your quote, make your project. Nothing else.

We sell nothing, rent nothing, run no targeted advertising, and add no one to a mailing list unasked. No automated decisions, no profiling.

Cookies, IP address and analytics

A single cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, remembers the language you chose. No personal information, no other purpose.

Your IP address feeds the counter that keeps bots from flooding the form. Held in memory for ten minutes, never written, never attached to the email.

We measure traffic with the tool built into Canner, which already hosts the site: pageviews, sessions, referrers, and a few actions such as sending a form. In that last case, only the fact that a form was sent is counted, never what you wrote in it.

No cookies, nothing written in your browser, no IP address kept. The session identifier is computed on the server with a salt that changes every month, which makes it impossible to recognize you from one month to the next, and the data stays in Canada.

We also measure how fast our pages display, with a second Canner tool. Those measurements contain no identifier, no address, nothing about you: only how long a page took to appear, and whether the device was a phone.

If your browser announces “Do Not Track”, traffic measurement stops entirely. The speed readings continue: they identify you in no way, and stopping them would protect no one.

No advertising pixel, no social media button. Fonts are served from our own server.

How long we keep it

As long as it serves the purpose you gave it to us for: answering, making, then finding your files again if you come back. Once that purpose is gone, we delete it.

Invoices are the exception: our tax obligations require us to keep them longer.

You may ask for deletion at any time, apart from what the law requires us to keep.

Who it passes through

Three providers, each for one function, none allowed to use it for its own purposes. Canner hosts the site and receives the form: a Quebec company, with servers in Quebec. Resend then delivers the email and keeps a limited technical record. Zoho Mail hosts our inbox.

Resend and Zoho process information outside Canada, mainly in the United States. By writing to us, you accept that transfer. We reviewed their security practices before selecting them.

How it is protected

Encrypted from your browser to our inbox without interruption, then encrypted at rest by our email provider.

Attachments never touch the server's disk: they pass through memory. Files are checked by their real binary signature, not their extension.

Only the two partners can reach the inbox, which is protected by two-factor authentication.

Your rights

See what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, withdraw your consent. Write to confidentialite@studiolesartisans.ca: we answer within 30 days, as the law requires.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Changes

Any new tool that collects information will be listed here before it goes live, and the date at the top of the page will change.
